Your papers should follow this format: an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement, the body of the paper should include a well thought out argument of how PACs and Super PACs corrupt the ideals of a democracy and a concluding sentence. Papers should not be longer than two well-written pages. Paper assessments will be based on content, structure, following paper guidelines and grammar/mechanics. In terms of content, I will be looking for the use of sociological language, theories and concepts along with your use of reasoning, clarity, logic and the sophistication of your argument. As far as structure, papers will be assessed in terms of its organization, flow of thought, effective transitions and academic format. Type using a font equivalent to Time New Roman, size 12 and double-space (1.5 space is acceptable) your papers. You will be graded on how well you illustrate your knowledge of the subject matter as well as your ability to follow directions. Proper grammar and spelling will be considered when assessing a grade.
