A written report based on two of four scenarios provided. It will explain the development that is occurring for these two children and recommend how each can be supported in order to reach their potential.

The report will be read by the organisation’s leadership team, qualified teachers and/ or allied professionals. Its purpose is to inform these professionals who will be responsible for planning and implementing learning strategies and reporting to parents and carers.

Your work must identify theories and literature covered in the course content. Key focus points should include identifying each of the children’s strengths, needs and challenges in two of the domains of development.

You must carefully think through your responses based on the research and the particular child scenario, and write in a professional manner in order to communicate effectively your evaluations and suggestions.

C: Harry is 7 years old and has a twin brother. He loves sport and all things active. He is experiencing difficulty listening to the teacher and being attentive and engaged in class.

D: Maryanne is 9 years old and has been in a wheelchair (from birth) and is linguistically moderately gifted. She is starting to feel isolated from her friends.
